This course was offered for the first time in Spring 1998. During Spring Break the class went to London, visiting several nursing sites. Here are some of the highlights of the trip.
We visited St. Bartholomew School of Nursing and Midwifery, where we were oriented to their curriculum, visited the nursing computer lab and library, and skills lab. Nursing skills labs look similar the world around. We also had the opportunity to visit St. Bart's Hospital. Thanks to John for hosting our visit.
Next we met with nurses at St Leonard's clinic in City and Hackney Community Services NHS Trust. The software they used was demonstrated.

We had the opportunity to discuss their client services. District nurses discussed their role in improving the health in their area.
Here's a intense discussion comparing nursing and health care in our two countries.

This plaque commemorates the life and death of Edith Cavell, she had been the Assistant Matron of St. Leonard's. During World War I, she was executed by the Germans for helping British prisoners escape from Brussels.
