Foundations in Quality Learning Series

Quality Basics

Quality is not just a job for the Quality Manager. Everyone needs to buy into the need for quality. This four-hour overview includes: Benefits of Quality, Total Quality Management, and Quality Tools. This four-hour program is offered in cooperation with the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Participants will learn:

Why quality is important to employees, the organization and customers.

bullet

Key concepts of total quality management and process improvement.

bullet

Seven commonly used quality tools and how they are used in problem solving.

Course materials include ASQ’s Quality Basics Participant’s Guide, a glossary for future reference, and a bibliography for further research.  

The Center for Executive & Professional Development also provides a certificate of completion.

Instructor:
Mark Vardaro, American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Manager and International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) Certified QMS 2000 - Aerospace Lead Auditor. He is one of only 19 IRCA Aerospace Certified Lead Auditors in the United States. Mark is an Executive Management consultant and Quality Management System auditor out of Oklahoma City. He is a Senior Examiner for the Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation (OQAF) and has served as a Team Leader for three award cycles.
